Spot removal
Follow the instructions and methods stated in the outline below (in most cases the same procedure can be used for stain removal on cotton fabrics)
If one is unfortunate â?? you spill or drop something on the woolen fabric, it is a golden rule to act immediately. Most stains are removable if treated right and not let to dry up. It may take thoroughness as well as patience but it is worth it.
First wipe up any fluids with a white absorbing napkin, kitchen tissue or a clean rag. Never use colored napkins as the color comes off. Scrape off dried up, solid stains with a spoon or a butter knife (not too sharp) and do it from the outer edge of the spot towards the center of it to avoid it to grow.
Use only small amounts of cleaning liquids at a time and remember to wipe with white napkins, kitchen tissue or rag between every time you add liquid to the fabric. Do not rub. Continue until spot is removed.
Caution
Chemical cleaning fluids may be toxic and/or flammable. Therefore, do keep general precautions such as good ventilation during and after cleaning and no open fire.
